Vitus Bikes

Vitus started out as a specialist frame builder in the French city of St Etienne in the 1970s. The company was responsible for a number of innovations during the decade, resulting in the iconic 979 – the bike that became the weapon of choice legendary Irish rider Sean Kelly in the late 70s and early 80s. The brand continued innovating with carbon fibre, resulting in the unique ZX1.

The company fell on hard times in the late 90s and early 00s and were eventually acquired by retail giant Chain Reaction. The brand is once again back to innovating and winning ways, producing new designs across categories and providing bikes for UCI Continental team Vitus Pro Cycling.
