Even among a field of really exceptional bikes, the Synapse Carbon Disc 105 stands out. It has great parts, premium features, and an exciting ride at a very attainable price… This 2019 model is something else. Cannondale engineers made the frame stiffer when they updated it last year, focusing on the head tube area and bottom bracket. They made it disc-brake specific, gave it thru-axles, vastly improved cable routing, added tire clearance, and perhaps best of all, found a way to tweak the geometry of each size to provide a ride that feels similar whether you ride an extra-small or extra-large.
